How Our Network Works
Who You Talk To
When you reach out through Talkededited Roofing, you end up speaking with an independent roofing provider in our network. These are local businesses with their own crews, trucks and schedules. They are not employees of Talkededited Roofing, and we do not send anyone to your roof ourselves.
What Happens on the Call
Keep it simple. You describe the problem, the provider asks a few questions, and together you figure out the next step. Expect questions like these:
- Where is the leak or damage, and when did you spot it?
- How old is the roof, and what material is it?
- Has there been a recent storm?
- Is water getting inside right now?
Have your photos handy. If the provider offers an estimate visit, you can set a time that works for you. Availability varies, so Request a callback to check provider availability.
What to Ask an Independent Provider
A good provider will not mind questions. Write these down before you talk:
- Are you licensed and insured for work in my area?
- Will you give me a written quote that lists materials and labor?
- Who handles permits, if my town requires one?
- What happens to the old roofing, and how is the yard cleaned up?
- If the weather turns, how do you protect an open roof?
- Can you help document storm damage for an insurance claim?
For a full roof replacement, also ask about ventilation, underlayment and flashing. These details matter in a climate with deep frost and humid summers.
You Are in Control
A conversation is not a contract. You can compare more than one quote, ask for details, take a day to think, or say no. Costs vary a lot by roof size, pitch and material, so get everything in writing before you agree to anything.
If a provider pushes you to sign on the spot, step back. A solid provider is comfortable with you taking your time.
